Apr 8 – Apr 22, 2024

7 MINUTE READ

“Can you hear it? Your heart — speaking like a guide to destiny’s map?”

The words flow through the massive library, down ten stories of stacks. They float on the crow’s wings, which for the first time do not appear black but as they truly are: an iridescent reflection of light.

The bird lands in the empty space on the shelf, which just moments before held the book in your hands. Her all-knowing eyes gaze into yours, silently repeating the question: Can you hear it?

You stare back at her, trying to determine who or what she is, but she simply repeats the question: Can you hear it?

You sigh, forgoing your own questions and instead, focusing on hers.

You close your eyes and listen to your heart. Or rather, you try to listen. You draw your inner awareness to the space in your body where your heart is beating — some sixty to one hundred times a minute.

You see if you can feel it. If you can count its beats with your mind as though your fingers were pressed to your neck or your wrist.

You breathe. You breathe.

And then, you hear it — your beating heart.

Thumping in your chest, slamming like God’s hammer against the fiery forge of Providence.

You open your eyes, and they land on the cover of the book, still unopened in your hands.

Its cover — like the crow’s wings — seems to be playing tricks on you. What color is it? Black? Blue? Green? Red? Ahhhh. Yes. That’s it. That’s the color.

You see it clearly in your mind.

You curl your thumb around its outer edge and lift to open the book.

You are staring at a blank page when suddenly, black ink rises through its ivory surface.

A title appears in Spencerian script, and beneath it, the words: This book belongs to

Your heart beats in response, and the book completes the sentence, writing your name.

You turn the page only to find that it too is blank.

The crow wiggles her little black feet on the edge of the shelf as she waits for you to understand. She’s eager to spoil the surprise, to just tell you what to do, but she knows that only you can do what’s needed next.

You wonder what it could be. You think through every possible scenario. You try to sort it out with your head, and…nothing happens.

Tired of standing, you sit cross-legged on the curved balcony of the tenth floor, or really negative ten. For the library’s stories do not go up toward the sky but down toward the center of the earth. You are sitting some 100 feet underground. 100 feet closer than usual to the great magnet at the heart of the planet. Its innermost layer has slowed so thoroughly that now, it appears to moving backwards.

Frustrated, you close your eyes. You slow down. You still your breath until it syncs with the innermost core and you become locked in place, anchored to the magnetic heart of the earth.

You breathe. You breathe.

And your heart beat slows, synching to the earth’s magnetic beat.

When you open your eyes, you inhale sharply, silently gasping as you see black words moving quickly across the page. Three paragraphs have already been written, secretly appearing while your eyes were closed. You try to start reading, but in that moment, the last word appears on the page and the book flips to the next page without you touching it.

It keeps writing, words appearing through the parchment, and you breathe —slowly, patiently while it finishes. Three pages later, when it finally stops, you turn the pages back to read.

You hold the book open wide in your lap and see the title to the section in large bold text:

The Healing of the Aries Moon

And now is when your fortune changes.

And now is when you are wed.

And with blood and bone, no sticks and stones, these words will never hurt you.

Think back. Remember.

It started sixteen years ago. It started even longer ago than that.

Your memories from 2008 fill the page in vivid detail, followed by the words:

The itchy wound at the center of your chest was filled with dirt and worms. It was cleansed and purged until it began glowing bright. A ring as cool and bright as the crown of the sun.

You saw it in April — in pictures in your mind, which is where you see all things.

Think back. Remember.

What did you see? What did you see?

The words that follow — your memories from then — appear blurry when you look at them. It’s almost as if the ink, in writing so quickly, became smudged.

You turn the page but still, the words are indecipherable. Then, finally, they become crisp again, and you read:

A Spell for Your Remembering

  • Three leaves of thyme

  • A cinnamon stick

  • A pinch of Marjoram

  • Steeped in water — boiling hot

  • Drink it in the light of the moon — between now and All Hallow’s Eve — and let your memory return to you

And soon, it’s Halloween. The veils between worlds are thinned by the rolling pin of time, and your fortune changes. You are wed completely to your higher self, protected from the pain of the past, and starting new again. Here — in this changing world — you see clearly. You know. You remember.

~

The book slams shut and locks itself with a metal latch that wasn’t there before. Startled, you look to Andra, still perched on the shelf, watching you. A small copper key is dangling from her beak. You stand up, and she drops it in the palm of your hand. Now, you have everything you need.

You place the key in your pocket and hold the book close to your chest as you take in the vast library one last time before making your way to the steps and beginning your ascent.

To be continued…

Star Summary

This Aries full moon is a portal moon, reaching deep into your past and delivering it to you again — fresh, whole.

The sun conjuncts Juno, Queen of the Gods and the astrological marker for marriage and immortal, eternal union. Both with other people and maybe mostly, with your higher self.

Look to the reflection dates and think about what you experienced then. As always, refer to your memory keepers: journals, calendars, pictures, etc. — to help you remember, and maybe most importantly, simply perform the spell.

Allow whatever you remember to be the answer.

Don’t try to sort it with your mind.

The answer isn’t there.

It’s in your heart.

It’s in your heart. Synching now, beating now in harmony with the earth.

See it in the stars:

  1. Sun conjunct Juno and Glasgow: You are magically wed to your higher self! Important relationship revelations transpire, and perhaps, Scotland keeps coming up? It does for me! And on this moon, the sun and Glasgow are one.

  2. Moon conjunct Chiron and Fortuna (retrograde): BIG HEALING. A healing of your emotional and ethereal body. Your pain points are mostly a consequence of the fortune you’ve been dealt and that which was beyond your control. This time (through the rest of 2024) is bringing peace and acceptance around all these things while empowering you to just keep going — both feet moving towards the future.

  3. Mars conjunct Trueblood: Your actions are true, loyal, aligned with the blood running through your veins.

  4. Uranus conjunct Gold (retrograde): YOU ARE GOLDEN. Trust your inner authority. Trust that you know what to do. The direction you’re heading may have a different destination than the one you have in mind, but trust the power of unexpected places. Trust, Trust, Trust.

  5. Pluto in Capricorn: We are now in the final weeks of Pluto’s nearly 17 year cycle through Capricorn. It started in January 2008, and oddly…back then, Juno and Fortuna were conjunct! And on this full moon…the sun is on Juno, the moon on Fortuna…what happens now is connected to this cycle and what started then. Reflect back.
