8 MINUTE READ

You’re in awe of the world, transfixed by its story — the dance of shapes and colors.

You watch it on your TV screen and on your phone. You speak of it to family and friends. You worry about it at night, and it consumes your daily thoughts. It is the movie in your mind. The play of light that comes and goes, comes and goes, creating a rainbow of experience against the screen of your mind.

You’ve fallen into a deep, deep trance, and have completely forgotten the magical book, locked on the shelf in your room. You’ve forgotten the alchemical glove you found in the woods, granting you access to the secrets of the universe. And the caw of the crow you call Andra? It has become but a muffled sound that now, you only hear as a sporadic ringing in your ear.

You sit up in bed and look at your phone, google the sound, and believe the explanation from WebMD: Tinnitus. It must be tinnitus.

But it just won’t quit.

The incessant ringing for your attention and the nagging sense that you aren’t where you’re supposed to be.

Wasn’t I standing on a sidewalk? Wasn’t there a rainbow up ahead? Did I just see the TV glow?

The questions leave your mind as quickly as they come, and you’re back in the trance again. You turn on the TV and watch a movie inspired by the Japanese legend of Yamato no Orochi:

In the movie, an American family is grieving because every year, they must sacrifice a daughter to appease a giant monster who terrorizes their land. Simultaneously, a divine being is kicked out of heaven and descends to Earth. Her name is Susan (clearly inspired by the Japanese figure of Susanoo), and she is driving through the American countryside, past sprawling farmland, when she sees the grieving family, tying their daughter like a scarecrow to a stake. Susan gets out of the car and demands to know what they are doing. When she learns of the monster, she agrees to help. She unties the young woman and uses her heavenly knowledge to trap and defeat the monster. After it’s killed, she pulls a giant sword from its belly and gives it to the family so they will always be protected. Susan, for her part in helping the family defeat the monster, is granted reentry to heaven.

The credits start to roll, and you turn off the TV. You roll onto your side to take a nap when you notice something strange at the corner of the room.

At the space where two walls meet, the drywall is not smooth and covered in paint. Rather, a loose thread is sticking out. You slide out of bed and walk three paces to the corner. You kneel down to take a closer look and without hesitating, you reach for the thread and start to pull.

The thread is thin and white and first when you pull, it simply gets longer. It acts like it’s not connected to anything, like you’re just pulling it free, but then, the corner of the wall begins to split, and you realize you are not facing two solid pieces of drywall — hammered and glued — but instead, you are facing a thin, flimsy screen sewn together by this white thread.

As the seam unravels, it creates an opening large enough for you to enter. You get down on your hands and knees and crawl past the curled edges of the room and into a large dark cylindrical space. You stand at the center of the cylinder and see the thin white screen encircling and revolving around the entire space. It’s covered in images, and as it spins, it creates a moving image — the story of the world — that just moments ago had had you in a trance.

You can see now how everything you’ve been experiencing was created by this incessant spinning, and it reminds you of a children’s toy. The one that spins and creates a movie on the wall. What’s it called? What’s it called? A zoetrope.

Yes, that’s it.

Greek for Wheel of Life.

It’s like you’re standing inside a zoetrope, inside the wheel. You’re no longer watching the movie from the outside. No, now, you are observing it from the inside out. You are seeing how it’s made, and you are suddenly overwhelmed by the sensation to draw something on the floor at the center of the cylinder. Your hand — with its magical glove — begins to glow, and using its light, you start to draw.

[DO THIS NOW: Close your eyes, see an image in your mind, and visualize drawing it inside the cylinder, or pull out an actual sheet of paper and intuitively draw something. It doesn’t have to make sense or look pretty. Just go.]

When you finish, what you’ve drawn is glowing inside the room. Not bright. Not like a beacon, but just enough that you can see that it’s there. Then:

Place your hand flat on the floor of the dark cylinder, atop the image you’ve drawn.

As your hand makes contact with the image, it sends a blast of power to the screen spinning around the room. It rattles and altars the movie that’s playing for all the world to see.

Not hugely. Not a lot. Maybe even just a flicker, but it shakes the story just enough for you to realize: You are standing at the center of creation.

You have power.

“The world you see is just a movie in your mind.

Rocks don’t see it.

Bless and sit down.

Close your eyes.

Listen to your heart.

Here — here — what will you create? What will you create?

To be continued…

The Big Magical Thing that
Happened after I Wrote This

Read about how I went to a moon group, was guided to draw something in a dark room (the person guiding the group had no idea I’d just written this!), and then, I woke up to an altered reality!

We are living in it now.

Star Summary

This Taurus full moon is revealing that the material world is not what it seems to be.

Things are not so simple.

The world is layered and complex.

Matter has a way of convincing us that it is all that’s real, but there is so much more. As you open your mind to this, you empower your ability to shape and create the world in which you live. The world you see inside your mind.

Let it be beautiful. Let it be good.

See it in the stars:

  1. Scorpio Sun conjuncts Artemis, DNA, & Georgia: The name Georgia means “earth worker,” and you are working the earth, shaping it. You do this with your very being, your body, the DNA in your blood, your veins. You become like Artemis, shooting her golden arrow and hitting her target.

  2. Taurus Moon conjuncts Uranus, Excalibur, and Yamato no Orochi: You are grounded in your own authority. You can make things happen and affect the material world. You are no longer a slave to the monster (Yamato no Orochi). You are gifted a magical “sword” of protection and power. Wield it well.

  3. Mars conjuncts Susanna: Your actions are like Susan’s. Use your divine connection to tune into something greater than yourself. Let this guide each step of the way.

  4. Chiron conjuncts Fortuna and SusanVictoria: All of this is retrograde. The story is not yet complete. The wheel of life (and fortune) spins. Soon, soon, in December, it all goes direct. One asteroid at a time.

  5. Venus conjuncts Persephone: Think of yourself as the Queen of the Underworld. You have power here. Looking at the world from the inside out, up from underneath. Shift your perspective. See where it leads you. Let it open your heart to love and material exchange.

  6. Mercury conjuncts Victoria: A victory in your mind! Right before Mercury goes retrograde on Nov 25. See the reading.

  7. Saturn goes direct in Pisces: Saturn teaches us how to build a golden age. It’s been retrograde in Pisces (the sign of interconnection and spirituality) since Jun 29. Now, on this full moon (Nov 15), it goes direct. What will you learn? What will you come to understand about the power of this oneness, our great connection?

  8. Pluto enters Aquarius (conjunct Ariadne, Ceres, and Abundantia): NOV 19: Pluto leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius, where it will stay for the next 22 years. This brings a huge shift in the collective. The kind that influences generations. Pluto is the planet of death and rebirth, named after the Roman god of the underworld, and in Buddhism, the god Yama, Lord of Death, rules the wheel of life. For death and life are two sides of the same coin. You can’t have one without the other. Plants grow and wither so new plants may grow. This period may feel like a huge seasonal change. The kind that happens when one goes from maiden to mother, from mother to crone. YOU ARE ENTERING A NEW SEASON OF LIFE. So too is everyone else. Nearby, you will see the asteroids Ariadne — named after the mythical princess who gifted a man a thread to find his way through a seemingly impossible maze — and Abundantia (abundance) and Ceres (nurturing). Follow the thread. Follow the thread.
