The Synchronous Sky

Illustration of the story - a conversation with a nasa man

On the weekend of July 9, 2021, I found myself in a house on a lake.

I was there with my husband, visiting two close friends, and that weekend, the house was also being enjoyed by my friend’s uncle and his friends. They were all complete strangers to me. I didn’t even know they were going to be there until they arrived, and as it turned out, one of his friends just happened to work for NASA.

He revealed his employment status while I was sitting at a table, playing Trivial Pursuit, and answering a question about who first discovered Saturn’s rings (Galileo), and when he said he worked for NASA, I immediately felt the fan girl in me do a little heart flip, especially when he said he worked at JPL specifically.

JPL as in the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, as in the JPL small body database that I regularly find myself searching whenever I hear a little whisper tell me “look up the asteroid named this” or “look up the asteroid associated with this number.” As I felt my excitement, I was suddenly grateful that he arrived a day after me and didn’t see me donning my new NASA tee, was grateful that I could keep my super-nerd-fan status to myself at least until if and when I wanted to reveal it. Because I knew that revealing it and revealing why I was such a fan would likely be controversial.

I wasn’t familiar with many scientists who were open-minded about astrology and intuitive experiences, and I suspected that if he knew why I was so excited about JPL, he’d probably roll his eyes in judgment, so I answered my trivia questions, collected my colorful plastic pie slices, and didn’t say a word.

But the whole time, I kept thinking - This is wild!

I had just - JUST - bought that NASA tee, and the day before we arrived at the lake, I had visited the NASA website to learn about the specific research being conducted at the NASA center near me. My lifelong love of science and space and newfound proximity to a NASA research center (I had just moved two months earlier) made me curious about what kind of work they were doing and if there was maybe a way I could visit or learn more or somehow collaborate. And here I was, two days later, sharing a roof with someone who works for NASA - who specifically writes for NASA and helped build the NASA resource that I regularly use - and this wasn’t some coincidence of location. The lake house was two hours from the NASA center I’d just been researching, and this person didn’t even work there. He lived and worked some 2,300 miles away - at JPL - but as luck or something would have it, on this particular weekend, here he was, sitting across the room from me, his Mars rover baseball cap resting on the kitchen counter.

The next morning, I sat on the couch in the living room, sipping coffee and reading the book I happened to bring with me: Astrophysics for People in a Hurry. A few minutes later, he entered the room, sat in a chair and started chatting with my friend’s uncle. I stayed silent and finished the chapter I was reading, but when he started showing photos from a recent NASA mission, the fan girl in me overtook my self-preservation instinct, and I couldn’t help but chime in: Can I see???

From there, the conversation just unfolded, and soon, I found myself revealing all of my scientific nerd knowledge when I mentioned the Osiris-Rex mission to Bennu, and his friend asked where the asteroid Bennu is, and then the NASA man mentioned all the asteroids between Jupiter and Mars, and I couldn’t help but say, But Bennu isn’t in the asteroid belt. It’s a near-Earth asteroid.

At which point, the NASA man looked up at me like, who is this girl?? But instead he just asked how I knew that, and suddenly it was like oh god, oh god, down the rabbit hole we go. And the next thing I knew I was talking about how I’d had a vision of a diamond-shaped asteroid almost exactly one year earlier - to the day - that I was having this conversation with him, and how then, four and half months later, I learned about the Osiris-Rex mission in the news, and I couldn’t believe it because it matched my vision, and how I go on the JPL database all the time because I am constantly looking up asteroids because I receive intuitive messages - literally hear “go look up this asteroid” - and am guided to learn about planetary bodies that previously I had no knowledge of, and I prefaced all of this by saying, “I understand that you probably don’t believe in this, and I appreciate the skepticism, but I was first led to all of this through astrology.”

At which point he let out a half-laugh, half-grunt, and said without hesitation: Astrology is a sham.

And I responded: I completely agree that most astrology you see is a total sham. The form of astrology that I practice is very different.

And this is true.

Most astrology you see out there is a total sham. It’s a meme-based, watered-down, pop version of something that is not yet fully understood but is genuinely connected to something that - after years of analysis and intense record keeping - I have found to be valid, reliable, fascinating, and true.

Don’t get me wrong - pop astrology can still be fun. It entertains, and it even occasionally points to some truth, but at this point in my life, I’m so excited by the very real magic I’m seeing in astrology that I don’t want to perpetuate anything that detracts from it.

This includes all pop astrology and also certain aspects of traditional astrology that I personally haven’t seen any evidence to support.

What follows is a list of ways in which astrology - in my experience - can genuinely and reliably be used. It’s born from a combination of objective pattern analysis and intuitive messages that consistently reveal a beautiful synchronicity between the positions of planetary bodies and experiences on Earth. After spending years practicing traditional astrology, I was ultimately guided to this approach through my intuition and my intellect. Almost all of the patterns revealed in my practice - and shared here at The Magic Guide - are ones that I’ve honestly never seen anywhere else. It has all led the scientist in me to be genuinely curious about and pretty much convinced that the following aspects of astrology are absolutely not a sham.

This is The Synchronous Sky. It’s non-sham astrology, and it consistently points to something very real and magical happening in the world.

Moon Cycle Patterns

My first big “a-ha, okay, something big and real is happening here” moment with astrology came one Saturday afternoon when I unexpectedly spotted a trend in my notes. What I saw was that whenever I conducted rituals - often on a new moon - I would see results from the ritual on the full moon that fell in the same sign six months later. But it wasn’t just the ritual results that would develop, I also could see in my notes that I was seeing the same synchronicities and events on the new moon as the full moon six months later. Often it was as specific as seeing and/or speaking to the same person on the new moon as on the full moon (and never communicating with that person in between), or seeing the sequel of a movie that I had watched the first of on the new moon, or having the same works of literature mentioned, and every time, from new moon to full, the same ideas and imagery circled back around.

After first spotting hints of this trend, I spent the rest of my weekend doing an in-depth analysis of every new and full moon that had transpired over the last two plus years of my life. I keep extensive notes of all of my intuitive messages and ritual work, and through that analysis, I saw again and again that what happened on the new moon would play out again in some new way on the full moon. Often I would even receive a message or have a vision on the new moon and then whatever I saw/heard would actually come to pass six months later with the full moon.

Since first uncovering this pattern, I have seen it play out again and again over many years. On every full moon, I go back and look at my notes from six months earlier - from the new moon that fell in the same sign - and every time, there are tens of overlaps. Not just one thing repeating or two, but a waterfall.

Something very real is happening with the moon cycle. Not just in the way that it affects our oceans and our menstrual cycles, but in something else. There seems to be something about the way time and/or experience is woven that is synched with the rhythm of nature as expressed through the cycle of the moon. This is not a sham.

Patterns in Planetary Movements

At the end of 2019, I was down in Virginia, visiting my family. I happened to be there during a Capricorn new moon eclipse that fell on December 26, 2019. Afterwards, Covid-19 spread across the world, New York City - where I lived - went into lockdown, and I didn’t end up seeing my family in person again until June 24, 2021.

And it just so happened that on June 24, 2021, there was another Capricorn moon, and that moon just happened to fall within one degree of the new moon eclipse on December 26, 2019. In other words, the 2019 Capricorn moon and the 2021 Capricorn moon were basically in the exact same place in the sky as seen from Earth. While there had been other Capricorn moons over the eighteen months since I’d seen my family, it wasn’t until the moon returned the exact same spot that I happened to be with them again. And this coincidence was in no way orchestrated by me. In fact, my husband proposed the June date for travel, and I simply agreed, smiling inside because I knew what he didn’t: the moon would be in the same place where it was when we last saw each other.

On its own, the fact that the moon was aligned at the same place in the sky during these two family visits can easily seem insignificant and coincidental. However, my research has revealed again and again that echoes in planetary alignments often produce echoes of experience on Earth, and much of the writing in The Magic Guide has worked to expose these patterns over years of analysis.

The December 2019 new moon and the June 2021 full moon echo is just one tiny example of how there are patterns in planetary movements that are seen through time, and if you have a moment now, I encourage you to reflect back on those two time periods in your own life and see what patterns/echoes you observe. You can do this by returning to your calendar, your camera roll, your journal, etc. Look at the following two periods of time: December 24, 2019 - January 8, 2020 and June 22 - July 8, 2021. You may see the same people, the same imagery, the same ideas, or the unfolding of major decisions between these time periods in your life. Often people don’t see these patterns/aren’t keeping the record to even observe them, but this is something that you can do if you’re interested, and a big part of The Magic Guide is about helping you see these patterns in your life by alerting you to the connected points in time and encouraging ways to explore these periods of interconnection and what they mean for you.

As someone who is regularly tracking these patterns, I can tell you that it happens constantly. There are events throughout history that are all connected in time, and you can see these connections in the movement of the planets. Whether it’s a particular planetary body falling at a particular point in the sky as seen from Earth, or whether it’s a particular planet aspecting another planet or asteroid at a specific point, I have looked up hundreds (if not thousands) of dates - from my personal life and throughout history - and have seen the connections between major planetary transits and the events on the ground, on Earth.

It’s hard to explain succinctly how real these patterns are without showing example after example, but the patterns are real. They are not a sham, and I know this because I am guided to them not just through logical analysis but through my intuition. I am regularly guided to see the pattern between dates through my dreams and other intuitive messages that direct me to add a specific asteroid (often one I’ve never heard of before) to my analysis for certain dates. Every time I’m guided to a specific date or a specific asteroid, it always reveals a pattern and a connection to what is happening now - such as the sun being in the same place (as seen from Earth) as a certain asteroid then and now. I am not making this stuff up, and I do not believe that my intuition is guiding me to see these patterns for no reason. I propose that I am being shown the patterns because they truly do speak to some not-yet-discovered truth about the connection between our experiences on Earth and the greater solar system.

Conjunctions & Oppositions

Imagine you are looking up at the sky and you can see Jupiter and Venus. They look like bright, bright stars, and now, imagine you draw a circle on a sheet of paper. The circle represents the apparent path of the sun around the earth over the course of a year. Of course, we know that this is an illusion, that the earth is actually moving around the sun, but still, there is this apparent movement of the sun, and this path is known as the ecliptic.

Now that you’ve drawn your circle, imagine that you put two dots on the circle. You place them at the very spot where Jupiter and Venus are along the path. Then, you draw a line between them. This line represents the angle between the two planets, and this is known as an aspect.

In astrology, aspects represent the relationship between planetary bodies, specifically the angle between them as seen from Earth, but this is not just an astrological concept. This is a piece of astrology that is pulled directly from astronomy. There are literal planets and asteroids and a massive star called the sun and a natural satellite orbiting the earth that’s called the moon, and these objects are always moving, and their positions in relation to each other are always changing.

In astrology, multiple aspects are often taken into consideration. The most commonly used astrological aspects are trine, sextile, semi-sextile, conjunction, opposition, and square, but for whatever reason - in my own personal practice of astrology - I basically only ever pay attention to conjunctions (when planetary bodies appear to be in the exact same place in the sky or approximately 0° apart) and oppositions (when planetary bodies appear to be on exact opposite sides of the celestial sphere as seen from Earth, a.k.a. 180° apart).

Why are these the ones I pay attention to? Because they are the only ones that intuitively jump out at me as important when I look at maps of planetary positions, and because they are the only ones I ever receive direct messages about. Every time I’ve been guided to add an asteroid or some other body into my analysis - because of a direct message from a dream or a whisper in my ear or something else that grabs my attention - it is almost exclusively because a conjunction is involved. In other words, I receive the message, I enter the body into my analysis, and inevitably, the body happens to be conjunct a major body or point (such as the sun or the north node of the moon).

And it just so happens that conjunctions and oppositions are the aspects that astronomers tend to look at too. If you search for any information on the other aspects within astronomy, you will come up empty. But conjunctions are something that even astronomers make note of. However, why they make note of them and what they infer from them is different than in astrology.

Where astrology differs from astronomy is in the idea that conjunctions and oppositions affect us here on Earth. Of course, we know that the tides in the ocean behave differently during new moons (conjunctions) and full moons (oppositions). We have seen that there are real, material changes to our experience on Earth as a result of these particular conjunctions and oppositions. Does that mean that other conjunctions and oppositions may be affecting us? Perhaps in more subtle, less easily observed ways?

Possibly. It’s possible that there are gravitational changes or some other force that creates shifts in our experience as a result of planetary movements, but it’s also possible that at this stage of interpretation, astrology leaps from the analytical/objective reality and into the spiritual/philosophical. It’s also possible that both of these are happening (noteworthy material changes and spiritual messaging). I will get more into the role spiritual messaging plays with astrology in the next section (intuitive astrology), but for now, I will say that in my experience, there is something genuinely, materially significant about conjunctions and oppositions. I have been guided to these aspects - conjunctions in particular - again and again in a way that is not a coincidence. I could not make this up.

I see numbers all of the time in my life. We are bombarded by numbers. Most of the time, these numbers do not seem significant, and I don’t feel the need to look up their corresponding asteroid. But there are many times when I see a number (or literally will just hear it in my mind) and hear a clear message to look the number up in the asteroid database, and when I then enter it into the software to see where the asteroid is at that point in time, there is basically always a significant conjunction involved. Sometimes I’m even given the number for an asteroid and then a date in either the past or future and there is a conjunction happening on that date. And simply put, there would be no way for me to know that some seemingly random three to six digit number that I see on a sticker on an apple is the same number for an asteroid that just happens to be conjunct the sun at that very moment in time. How could I possibly know that? And if it isn’t meaningful, then why would I be directed to see it again and again? Where is this information even coming from?

I’m open to theories about all of this (I have a number of my own), but one thing is clear: I am basically always guided to conjunctions, which leads me to believe that that’s because there is something especially significant about conjunctions. I cannot say the same about the other aspects used in astrology. While I’m open to the idea that there’s some other person out there who’s always being guided to trines and seeing genuine patterns in them, I can only speak to the evidence before me, and what I’ve experienced tells me that conjunctions are genuinely meaningful and not a sham. I believe that conjunctions are either (1) creating tangible, physical effects in our reality that are mostly currently not measurable by scientific tools and/or (2) that conjunctions are somehow capturing/highlighting real patterns within a spiritual narrative about time and events on earth. I have also found that the opposition between the sun and the moon that occurs during a full moon does in fact create real, trackable patterns in the events in people’s lives (see moon cycle patterns), and of course, full moons have been found to also tangibly affect a number of other things (oceans, land tides, menstrual cycles, etc.).

The Zodiac Signs
& Intuitive Astrology

Fact vs. Interpretation

Within astrology, whenever people are strictly speaking about the position of the planets, the sun, and the moon as seen from Earth and the relationships between these positions, these are objective things that are happening. These are actual facts, and within my personal astrology practice, the patterns I’ve seen in these are not dependent on any aspect of astrology that expands into spiritual or artistic interpretation (i.e, the zodiac). This is the piece of astrology that is grounded in the observable, measurable aspects of our material reality.

What isn’t a fact is what exactly these positions mean for us here on Earth. The moment you get into this is the point where astrology pretty much completely diverges from science, and this is what leads most people to start saying that all astrology is a sham. Because let’s be honest, many people think all psychic experiences, divination, intuition, and anything spiritual/seemingly otherworldly and unexplainable is a sham.

As someone who approaches all of my spiritual experiences with a scientific mind, I appreciate people’s skepticism, and I will readily admit that a significant percentage of astrology is more spiritual/philosophical than measurably true, but this intuitive aspect of astrology - for those who are open to it - is not a sham. I personally have repeatedly experienced the power of using astrology spiritually as a tool for divination and more.

A huge component of astrology is rooted in storytelling, and the ability to intuitively see and read the story.

The zodiac signs - while named after actual constellations in our night sky - are not based on the actual position of the constellations. When you say that “Venus is in Taurus,” the reality is that Venus may or may not be crossing through the area of the sky where the constellation Taurus is located.

Western astrology pinned down the constellations long ago so that they no longer completely align with the actual position of the constellations. This means that when planets are crossing the sign of Taurus they are sometimes actually crossing the constellation of Taurus but eventually, Taurus just becomes Gemini along the zodiac wheel.

When it comes to the signs, consider these three things:

  1. If a planet is at 3° Gemini on one day and then it’s at 3° Gemini again a few months later, the planet is in fact in the same place in the sky. Even though it may actually be moving across Taurus, it is in the same place, and any patterns within its movement are rooted in objective fact.

  2. In my practice, I have been guided not just to asteroids but also certain stars and asterisms (clusters of stars). For example, I was guided through a dream and more to learn about The Golden Gate of the Ecliptic, which is an actual span of sky that exists between two asterisms known as The Pleiades and The Hyades.

Prior to the intuitive messages I received, I had no knowledge of The Golden Gate of the Ecliptic or The Hyades. All of these align with the constellation of Taurus, so when I went to do my analysis of planets crossing The Golden Gate, I made sure to translate the degrees within Taurus (where they actually are in the sky) to the degrees within Gemini so that when I was looking at the astrology, I was accurately understanding when planetary bodies were crossing The Golden Gate.

Movements like these (as well as planets aligning with the center of the galaxy, etc.) are factual and not dependent on any interpretation of what the signs mean. These movements are real, and any patterns observed within them (such as the in-depth analysis I did on correlations between planetary movements through The Golden Gate and massive natural disasters) are not a sham, which is why I have been able to predict events based on following certain patterns like these.

  3. Now, zodiac signs are probably the piece of astrology that most people are familiar with. This is the idea that certain characteristics and qualities can be associated with each sign. This part of astrology is not at all rooted in fact, but it also is not necessarily a sham. What it is is a combination of divination and archetypal psychology.

This is where astrology becomes very similar to reading tarot cards (divination), except instead of cards, you are reading signs and planets and houses, and of course plenty of people will argue that all divination is a sham, but for those who are skilled at divination, astrology is a powerful tool. And for those who are less inclined to believe in a greater force or intuitive power behind understanding the movement of planets and cards, all of this can still easily be understood through the lens of archetypal psychology.

You can use the meanings (a.k.a. archetypes) of the signs, the stories behind planets and asteroids (both their namesakes and their physical attributes), and the areas of life attributed to astrological houses to tell a story. My astrology practice weaves direct intuitive messages with astrology - both the objective patterns and the archetypal story.

For me, whatever is out there in this universe - be it God, energetic imprints, stories held in the collective unconscious, and/or something else - it is speaking to me through astrology. I have told these stories again and again for years, so I won’t retell them here (you can read them in The Magic Guide), but I have had enough experiences to say unequivocally that I receive direct intuitive communication through astrology.

When I look at astrology, I see a whole story playing out - like the cosmos is dancing, telling me a story - and through seeing and receiving that story, I have accurately predicted and understood circumstances again and again.

Not everyone is psychic. Not everyone is going to be able to use astrology in this way, and honestly, I don’t think purely analytical astrology works all that well. Whenever someone is just memorizing what the signs and planets and aspects mean according to astrological lore and then using their head to analyze how these pieces fit together, then the intuitive wisdom is being sucked right out of astrology, and it’s this wisdom - this part of our consciousness - that is able to pick up on the interconnected nature of the cosmos.

I don’t personally think that there are hard and fast natural laws that explain how the planets affect life on earth that astrology has somehow figured out but that science has not. You can’t just memorize some rules from an astrology book and apply them and know things because astrology is not a science. Astrology is an intuitive and analytical practice that helps reveal something magical in our world.

There is a great mysterious something in our world that we currently don’t fully understand - something magical - and the movement of objects in the sky is one of the ways that we can see it. By looking at astrology objectively and not just blindly accepting old understandings of astrology as true, I have consistently experienced powerful synchronicity and intuitive messages related to planetary positions, and I have been able to track very real patterns within planetary movements that allow me to accurately predict events. All of this speaks to a mysterious interconnection between human consciousness, the solar system at large, and events in our human lives.

Many people practicing astrology seem to think that they can just memorize some definitions and ideas from a book, regurgitate them back and accurately know things, but this is not true (for astrology or tarot), and this form of analytical astrology is a sham. Astrology without intuition and without curious, probing analysis robs astrology of its true power.

These days there is so much astrological information being generated via algorithms, which is strictly analytical, not particularly accurate for most things, and also, mostly a total sham/just using general language that can pretty much be applied to anything anytime. This doesn’t mean it can’t be fun or that it can’t support you with generally good advice, but it isn’t what real, magical astrology is about.

Real astrology is an ancient intuitive art form - part astronomical analysis rooted in the observation of patterns through time and part direct intuitive communication available to those who can see and hear it.

It isn’t about memorization. It’s about listening.

The Stars in You

When most people think of astrology, they often think of “their sign,” which means the zodiac sign where the sun was on the day they were born. This idea is rooted in the practice of interpreting astrological birth charts. A birth chart depicts the position of planetary bodies at the precise moment you were born, based on time and location. Because of the nature of how long it takes the various planetary bodies to move around the zodiac wheel, each individual chart only comes into existence every 25,000 years. (Though you’ll share a chart with any twins you might have - biologically or astrologically. An astro twin is someone who was born at the same time and place as you.)

Birth charts have typically been used to interpret people’s personalities, preferences, and life events. The use of birth charts in this way depends on both the divine storytelling/archetypal psychology aspect of astrology and the analytical pattern-tracking aspect of astrology, but ultimately, the use of birth charts depends on the understanding that the position of the planets at the time of your birth somehow shape who you are. Plenty of people will say this isn’t true, but I stand by the idea that this part of astrology actually isn’t a sham at all, and most of the time when people don’t feel connected to their chart, it’s because they think that their chart is just their sun sign, and they don’t understand how to read the story being told in their complete chart.

The reality is that more often than not, I can accurately predict aspects of people’s charts - be it the dominant elements or zodiac sign or even the relationships between certain planets. Sometimes when I am looking at people, I can even see a chart in my mind for them and see something happening in their chart - such as a specific placement of a planet. I have seen this both for placements in their chart (which is constant and unchanging), and I see this for transits people may be experiencing.

Transits show how the position of the planets on any given day are aligning with points in a person’s birth chart. Here’s a wild example of how birth chart transits connect with real life events: I bought a house. Out of curiosity, I looked up the position of the asteroid associated with the number in the street address for the property. I’d never looked up this asteroid before in my life, and the asteroid itself doesn’t even have a name beyond its numerical designation. When I entered this four digit asteroid into my software, I saw that when I was born, that asteroid was conjunct Mars, and right before finding the house, a new moon had fallen at the very spot where Mars and the address asteroid were in my chart, thus seeding a new beginning for me personally with the address asteroid. Then, on the very day the house was listed for sale, the transitting address asteroid and Mars were conjunct yet again just as they were when I was born (this is not remotely always the case!). Then, on the week we moved into the house, there was a full moon, and the sun was perfectly conjunct the address asteroid. I know this can be a lot to digest if you aren’t familiar with the lingo, but in short, what I’m saying is that somehow, I purchased and moved into a home as the asteroid with its matching number was playing a significant role in the astrology!

And to make things even crazier…a whole two years earlier, I’d received a message about living in a house in the state where I purchased this home. I lived in a different state at the time, and I made a note then about this message, which means I can say with certainty the exact day I received the message about this future home of mine…and guess what? After I bought the home, I looked up the astrology for the day two years earlier when I’d received the message, and I learned that on that very day, the address asteroid had been perfectly conjunct my rising and the asteroid representing HOME was conjunct the address asteroid/Mars in my chart. In other words, there were HUGE markers in my chart for this specific address and this specific house two years before I even lived in the state or knew about the home’s existence. And with every major event involving the home, the address asteroid was significantly aligned within my chart and with the moon cycle.

Similarly, on the very day I got engaged, the asteroid Juno, commonly referred to as the marriage asteroid, was conjunct the north node of the moon (a.k.a. the destiny point) in my chart, and the transitting destiny point was conjunct a point in my chart known as the descendant, which is the most significant point in the house of marriage. So both my natal north node and the transitting north node were perfectly conjunct (zero degrees from) major marriage markers in my chart.

These things happen again and again - our charts reflect our real life experiences.

What does all of this mean? That’s a much longer conversation, but I have consistently been able to use birth charts as a way to predict things for people and understand current circumstances. The way astrology weaves into my greater intuitive, spiritual experience is real, and the stars in you - every cell in your body evolved form stardust - are real.

We may not be able to track and understand this scientifically - yet - but whatever it is in this world that makes magic work allows certain people to see through the stars.

The Stars in Everything

Every single thing in this universe originated in the fiery inferno of space and now lives within its black void. Space is not above you. You are in space, right now. The earth is a planet, circling a yellow dwarf star, in a solar system in a galaxy that is one of approximately 100 billion galaxies in an expanding universe where most of the energy and matter is completely unknown to us, and that doesn’t even get into the fact that there may be (and likely are) multiple universes. Perhaps running parallel to this one. Layers of reality. We do not know!

There is so much we don’t know, but we know that every day, approximately sixty tons of cosmic dust falls to Earth, that the star stuff is still landing, affecting us, shaping us. Just as it did early on, when the earth formed from the collision of star stuff, when the earth was forever changed during the Late Heavy Bombardment of meteors some 4 billion years ago, and when an asteroid crashed to Earth 66 million years ago leading to a mass extinction.

We are forever, inextricably linked to the cosmos. That is the world in which we live. It is shaping us because it has always shaped us. We don’t yet know all of the ways it works and all of the ways this home of ours affects us, but as we learn, I for one will not dismiss the evidence before me that something real is happening with astrology, even when simultaneously it’s true that yes, a lot of the ways astrology is used is a total freaking sham.

Start understanding the stars in your life.
